Responsible for (Functionality):
Multi Stream resource planning and booking and task delivery coordination (i.e. ensure tasking is met as required), with main function resource booking
Look across multiple capabilities and decide if there is a resource available which suits the requirement (time slots as small as ten minutes); assign resource; move resources between assignments as appropriate to fulfil demand; process resource request cancellations
Key Responsibilities:
- X Stream Resource Engagement
Engaging Resources during the Proposal stage to assist SRM / Service Fulfilment Engineer with Design and Estimation
- X Stream Resource Allocation
Assigning Resources to carry out Technical Tasks during Project Execution
Out of Scope Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and Updating Project plans
- Project reporting
- Responding to Client Resource Requests
Potential Future Responsibilities
- Potential to pick up more >20% PM tasks that cannot be charged for (>20%)
Customers: SRM; SFE/SFL
Interfaces: Capability SMEs
Details:
Responsible for maintaining a global view of all resource reservations and requests across all capabilities (this will include capabilities onshore)
Main contact between HP SFLs and the capabilities when it comes to resource requests.
RIMs will have 2 way exchange with resources within each capability to maintain the resource view.
RIMs should be able to raise alarms on resource issues in advance so this can be proactively managed.
RIMs need to take account of all capabilities required to fulfil particular Project Request
HP India to advise the process details and tooling for Requests: Email; SharePoint etc.
